Join us on Thursday, February 15th at 12:00 PM for our panel presentation Planning with Aging and Disabled Clients at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. This presentation will feature panelists: Ashley Burke, J.D., CELA, CAP; Josh Graber, J.D., Bill Schult, CPA and will be moderated by Michelle Clemons, J.D., LLM.

 

Session Description:

Our session will focus on estate planning for aging and disabled clients. In a panel discussion moderated by Michelle Clemons and followed by Q&A, Ashley Burke will discuss Special Needs Trusts and Medicaid (both for long-term nursing care purposes and Medicaid Waivers). Josh Graber will discuss estate planning techniques for high-net-worth clients before and after 2026, as well as techniques for funding trusts. Bill Schult will address considerations for aging in place (at home) compared to in senior living communities, what Medicaid and Medicare will or will not cover, and an overview of costs in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky markets. Questions are encouraged from the group.

She advises clients on Medicaid planning, estate planning for families with disabilities, lifetime gifting and transfers at death, and asset protection. She assists clients with Trust and Estate Administration.
