Join us on Tuesday, December 5th at 12:00 PM for our presentation from Ed Morrow, J.D., LL.M., CFP®, Estate Planning for Retirement Benefits in Light of the Secure and Secure 2.0 Acts at the offices of Frost Brown Todd.

Session Description:

This session will cover the basics of the impact of the Secure and Secure 2.0 Acts and proposed regulations that are expected to become final in coming months. We’ll clarify who qualifies as “Eligible Designated Beneficiaries”, why it matters, and outline the two different variations on the 10 Year Rule (pre and post RBD) for mere “Designated Beneficiaries”.

We’ll cover the Secure 2.0 changes to QCDs and AMBTs, but more importantly, focus on the new paradigm in trust planning for surviving spouses and accumulation and conduit trust designs so often used in blended family situations.

Lastly, we’ll cover common post-mortem hiccups and solutions in post-mortem administration.

We hope to see you there!
