Session Description:

Whether clients are coping with death, divorce, retirement, empty nest, or other life transitions, what you say and do in the office has more influence on your client relationship than your financial or legal savvy ever did. Understand how to answer the dreaded “bad news” phone call, the different levels of grief in every transition, and the best ways to communicate at appointments and on the phone. Find out how to handle a crying client, how to bring humor into meetings, and how to help clients make wise decisions in the midst of loss or transition. Walk away with practical, proven strategies that you can implement immediately.  

 

The session will be immediately followed by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at our Networking Happy Hour.

An acclaimed speaker who’s delivered over 1000 speaking engagements, she authored over 250 articles and two award-winning books, including the financial advisor’s guidebook titled No Longer Awkward: Communicating with Clients through the Toughest Times of Life. She holds a Master’s Degree and is a Fellow in Thanatology (the highest level of certification in the field of grief studies).
