While with the University of Cincinnati Police Department, Gene served on the executive committee for the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force for Southern Ohio and was a member of the SOSINK Homeland Security Grant review team. \n  \nGene established a private consulting company in 1997 and is very active as an instructor in the fields of law enforcement and security. He has provided consulting services to public and private organizations both in the United States and several foreign countries. He worked as a security consultant to NBC at four Olympic Games. He also helped develop the security plans for the 2007 Democratic National Committee presidential candidate debates at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the Director of Safety and Security for the 2012 World Choir Games held in Cincinnati, Ohio. \n  \nGene has presented instructional programs for numerous police/security institutions, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Ohio Associations of Chiefs of Police. He held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Criminal Justice program at the University of Cincinnati and is currently the Chief Instructor for the Executive Protection Institute. \n  \nHe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of \nCincinnati, a Masters of Education degree from Xavier University, is a graduate of the F.B.I.
