She has successfully pursued and retained two multi- million dollar grants for 1) Conversations of a Lifetime, a multi -faceted community project to improve advance care planning in the area's health systems and community and 2) PalliaCare Cincinnati , a home based palliative care service with NPs , nurses and a social worker providing supportive care in the home to patients with life limiting illness. \n  \nPrior to her work in advance care planning and better end of life care, Barbara was the Program Director for the Ohio Perinatal Quality Collaborative (OPQC) , a successful statewide perinatal improvement collaborative impacting Ohio's 140,000 annual births. \n  \nShe has a master's degree in public health from St. Louis University and 40 years of experience in the fields of nursing, public health, physician practice, program management and community based health improvement. Barbara lives in Mariemont, Ohio with her dog Gibbs and is the proud mom of successfully launched 28 year old triplets and Nana to five year old Christopher.
