About the Presentation
How to Work with the IRS
It is our pleasure to introduce Michael Gregory, who founded Michael Gregory Consulting LLC in September 2011.   Prior to founding his consulting firm, Mike had 28 years of experience with the IRS in a variety of capacities.  During his last 11 years with the IRS, Mike was an IRS territory manager with responsibilities for 23 states with an emphasis in business valuation and specialist issues. During his tenure with the IRS, Mike championed the IRS internal teams on reasonable compensation, valuing subchapter S corporations, 409A, 6695A, and the Discount for Lack of Marketability.

Based on his years of experience at the IRS and now in the private sector, Mike will be giving a presentation entitled How to Work with the IRS.  This will focus on estate and gift tax returns.  Mike will introduce the structure of the IRS as it relates to these types of returns. Following that introduction insights will provided on what to do before the return is filed, steps to take given the IRS classification processes, steps to take on audit, and what to do if the case is unagreed and proceeds to Appeals or litigation.  This should be helpful to practitioners, clients and those interested in knowing how to navigate these processes on behalf of their clients.
